OLLI of Greater Birmingham presents Sound of Music with instructor Kimberly Strickland, Music Instructor, Alabama School of Fine Arts (ASFA); and student performers from the ASFA. The Alabama School of Fine Arts String Orchestra will present a session on \”Sound of Music\”.  The session will cover the history of stringed instruments and students will demonstrate how sound is produced.  The session will conclude with the string orchestra performing several musical works.  Under the direction of Kimberly Strickland, the orchestra\’s program will be a delight to your ears!  Come out to hear this wonderful presentation by the State of Alabama\’s most talented young musicians!  NOTE: event location has been changed to Vestavia Hills Senior Lodge, 1973 Merryvale Road, Vestavia Hills (11/3/17dgm)
