Intro to Aromatherapy

Intro to Aromatherapy

Presented by Embody Practice Center - Yoga, Tai Chi, Manual Therapy at Embody Practice Center

People commonly think that “aromatherapy” refers to anything that smells good, like scented candles, potpourri, and perfumes. When actually, the term “aromatherapy” refers to the therapeutic application of plant essential oils (usually diluted in some type of solution) by qualified individuals. There is a growing body of research from laboratory and clinical studies that points to the remarkable healing properties of essential oils.

This one day workshop will provide an opportunity to learn how to safely use a selection of essential oils, in a variety of ways, for the benefit of yourself, family members and clients.

Learn about the history and origins of aromatherapy, basic chemistry of an essential oil, and safety precautions.  Learn how to blend essential oils for health support along with uses for every day ailments for the young and the old. Tuition includes your own set of essential oils to take home and use immediately.

Registration and pre-payment is required so the correct amount of supplies may be ordered in time for class!

Tuition: $110

Payment type: Cash, personal check payable to the instructor, or credit cards accepted. If you are unable to attend, a full refund is available, less the purchase amount for oils as these supplies will have been ordered in advance.

When: Sunday, September 27 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, one hour break for lunch
