Appetites from around the area are about to be treated to a food fest like none other, all for the sake of charity. The Fourth Annual Protective Life Food Truck Roundup and Art Show benefitting PreSchool Partners is set to serve up some of Birmingham’s best cuisine on Saturday, May 2 from 11:00 – 2:00 pm in the upper parking lot of Macy’s at Brookwood Village (780 Brookwood Village, Birmingham, AL 35209).

Foodies and their families can prepare to experience live music by Kate & the Howlers, amazing gourmet food, kid-friendly entertainment and fun for all ages. New this year is an Art Show featuring the artwork of local artists and PreSchool Partners students. Among artists participating in the inaugural art show are Ahmad Austin, Kristin Blakeney, Emily Brown, Emily Coe, Anne Couch, Emily DeBuys, Lauren Duncan, Dorothy Goodner, Mila Hirsh, Alice Lucas, Carrie Pittman and Lacey Russell. Food vendors featuring every imaginable cuisine are set to offer their finest fare. Cantina on Wheels, Dreamcakes, Ezelle’s Catfish Cabin, Full Moon Bar-B-Que, Greg’s Hotdogs, Heavenly Donut Company, Mellow Mushroom, Melt, Neal’s on Wheels, Nola Ice, Off the Hook, Recippi's Italian Ice & Gelato, Shindigs and Slice are just a few of the food trucks that will be present at the fundraiser.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door and are available online at www.preschool-partners.org. The first 150 guests to walk through the gate will receive a free tshirt. With each ticket purchase you receive four tokens redeemable for food at any of the trucks and at beverage stations. Additional tokens will be available for purchase; kids 10 and under get in free.

PreSchool Partners is dedicated to preparing at-risk three and four-year-olds, and their parents, for kindergarten in the Birmingham City Schools. Students, who may not otherwise get a preschool education receive a solid educational foundation and are set on a path toward success.
