UAB Rec Day Camps are designed for parents who still have to work while their children are out of school throughout the year.
This is a great opportunity for your children to explore adventure activities, sports, crafts, aquatic activities, and everything UAB Campus Recreation has to offer. The Day Camp schedule is from 9:00am-4:00pm, with the age range of 5-12 years. Snacks are provided throughout the day, but campers will need to bring their own lunch. Early and late care are also available if needed each day.
Registration can be done in-person at the Campus Recreation Center (1501 University Boulevard), over the phone with our membership staff at 205-996-5038, or online (http://www.uab.edu/students/campusrecreation/membership/access-portal).
Single Day camps are $40 per child, per day for UAB affiliates and $50 per child, per day for non-affiliates. Our three-day Thanksgiving Break Camp is $93 for affiliates and $111 for non-affiliates, while our Winter Break and Spring Break week-long camps are $155 for affiliates and $185 for non-affiliates.
Before and After Care sessions can be added on at $5 per child, per session.

The Day Camp Program will begin on Columbus Day observed, October 6th, and will run until Spring Break, March 26th-30th. Camps will be offered on the holidays such as Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, around winter break, President’s Day, and spring break. Various teacher work days and weather days will be offered as well.
