On Wednesday, November 11 at 10:15 a.m., special guest Kirk Saduski will lead a ceremony placing a wreath at the National Veterans Shrine. Mr. Saduski is an Emmy-nominated television and motion picture producer whose work includes the mini series The Pacific and He Has Seen War. During the ceremony, battlefield soils from Korea and Iwo Jima will be enshrined in the base of the bronze statue Liberty Uniting the Colonies, which stands at the entrance to the Shrine.
Veterans, active members of the United States Armed Forces, their families, and the public are all invited at attend. Following the wreath laying and soil enshrinement, visitors may tour the National Veterans Shrine and Register of Honor, and take part in additional activities through 4 p.m. at the American Village.
Admission is free to veterans and active military.
