Have you ever thought “I would like to help people who are experiencing homelessness, but don’t know where to start?” How about by eating at your favorite Birmingham eateries!

Please join the Junior Board of One Roof: Uniting Central Alabama to End Homelessness during National Homeless Awareness Week as we host our own “Restaurant Week” to help bring awareness to homelessness in Birmingham and continue the conversation on ways our community can help. We are raising money to help offset the costs of providing homeless clients with state IDs which help get them shelter, medical attention, and other benefits as needed.

You can help simply by eating at one of the restuarants listed below. We’ll be adding more as we get closer, so please keep an eye on the official Facebook event page for up-to-minute details.

~ Saturday, November 11 – Join us at The Pizitz Food Hall for the Veteran’s Day celebration with our friends at The Standard Birmingham,Busy Corner Cheese and Provisions, and Yellowhammer Creative, as well as Roscoe Hall grilling it up in the courtyard from 11-3 while Birmingham Mountain Radio does a live remote from 12-2 that day. 

~Tuesday, November 14 at Rojo Birmingham for from 5pm – 12am

~Wednesday, November 15 at Sky Castle* for lunch from 11am-1pm and for dinner from 5pm-8pm (*for Sky Castle, please print out and present to your server the “coupon” on the Facebook event page)

~Thursday, November 16 at Shu Shop from 4:00pm – 10:00pm

~ Friday, November 17 at Tropicaleo from 11am – 1am (lunch and dinner)
