The psoas (so-as) is an important deep flexor muscle of the body. It is particularly sensitive to emotional issues we hold in the nervous system. Many times tension in the psoas muscle can directly affect the comfort of the lower back, overall stability and alignment in yoga poses, trouble with sitting in meditation and dysfunctional breathing patterns.
In this workshop we will look at the anatomy and function of the psoas. Through manual manipulation and breathing we will explore tools to release this deep flexor muscle. And through energy work we will delve into the chakras and the emotions that are held in this area.
