Alabama Charcoal is Space One Eleven’s after school portfolio development and college readiness program for serious and committed high school art students. This program is designed to increase students’ college opportunities by building or enhancing visual art portfolios and technical drawing skills. Mentors assist Alabama Charcoal students with portfolio critiques, college applications, scholarship research, and admission essays. Students will also have the experience of peer critiques. Classes meet twice a week and will be taught by Andy Jordan, graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design.
