American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day will bring together outdoor enthusiasts across the country on Saturday, June 7, 2014, for the 24th annual celebration of America’s magnificent trail system and its countless supporters and volunteers. Over 2,000 nationwide events will take place including trail maintenance, hiking, biking, trail running, and more! Red Mountain Park will be hosting a trail hike to celebrate National Trails Day. Enjoy a two-mile hike along Red Mountain’s most popular trail, the Ridge walk. Constructed completely by the hard work of our volunteers, this trail hike boasts beauty and history side by side atop Red Mountain. Additional fun, snacks, drinks, and giveaways included. A long-standing celebration of America’s magnificent trail system and its countless supporters and volunteers, National Trails Day is celebrated in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
