Ugandan Kids Choir

Presented by Birmingham-Southern College Music Department at Birmingham-Southern College Hill Recital Hall

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the Ugandan Kids Choir will perform a special, 45-minute concert on Monday, January 15 at 7 p.m. in the Hill Recital Hall, Birmingham-Southern College.  Known throughout the world for their musical talents, the Ugandan Kids Choir will sing traditional African songs, play authentic African instruments, and dance in their colorful African attire.  The Ugandan Kids Choir, an outreach of Childcare Worldwide, is made up of 10 sponsored children who come from the poorest parts of Uganda. The children are chosen for their enthusiasm, ability, and dedication—all of which make them potential leaders when they return to their communities. Childcare Worldwide is a Christian child sponsorship ministry committed to “empowering children in the developing world”.  Fun for all ages!
