Laura Rabell, a Nashville-based Americana artist & songwriter will be traveling with her band to perform a show at The Nick in Birmingham on January 10, 2018. Joining the bill will be The Hollows Roots.
Since relocating to Music City, Laura Rabell has proven herself worthy as one of Nashville’s rising songwriters – she’s got a song to sing, but more importantly, a story to tell. Rabell doesn’t shy away from exploring the dark side of life and love in her music and is currently working on her first full-length album, Ghost Stories. Set for release in late Spring 2018, the album combines her literary depth and Southern Gothic perspective with the complex sounds of Nashville Americana.
The Hollow Roots met six years ago when all four members moved from their respective homes to Nashville to attend MTSU in hopes of working in the music industry. After playing in the dorms and playing out in Murfreesboro’s dense house show scene for four years they amassed a small but loyal following. They have just laid the foundation to move to Nashville and try to make it to the next step. It’s been a lengthy, but sound start to what will be a long journey for the four best friends. They pride themselves in being very in tune with new music so they build on to their classic rock roots.
Pulling influence from the hardest rocking bands of the 60s and 70s, The Hollows have amassed an expansive repertoire of original, fuzz-drenched, soulful rock songs. Currently the band plans on playing as many shows in as many different places as possible and connecting with everyone they meet
