M-POWER Ministries will host a Farm to Table Experience on Tuesday, Oct. 20 starting at 6 p.m. at Little Savannah. Attendees will enjoy a Southern-style dinner prepared by Executive Chef Maureen Holt featuring poached pear salad, chicken and dumplings and sweet cornmeal polenta cake. Each course will be perfectly paired with wine and selected beer to enhance all course selections. Guests planning to attend are encouraged to buy tickets in advance as seating is limited. Tickets for the three-course dinner are $100 and can be purchased online.

This event, presented by ProAssurance, invites Birmingham residents to enjoy a taste of the Magic City while giving back to the community and supporting the efforts of M-POWER Ministries, a nonprofit located in Avondale helping to break the cycle of poverty by providing education and health services to Jefferson County residents. The Taste of the Magic City is a four day event that will take place Monday, Oct. 19 through Thursday, Oct. 22. The four events include: Restaurant Give-Back Day, a Farm to Table Experience at Little Savannah, an Italian Wine Dinner at Silvertron Café and finally, Taste Live!, where guests can sample culinary creations from some of Birmingham’s best restaurants.
