We’re partnering with Alabama Auto Show, in town at the BJCC for the weekend, and they’ll have some cool and unique cars on hand to see. The first 50 people to purchase at least 2 tickets to Healthy Hearts for Horizons will receive 2 free tickets to the Auto Show! Kids 14 and under are free anyway!

Dress is casual, but you must wear your favorite team’s colors! Rick Journey (former Fox 6 Anchor and Director of Communications for The City of Birmingham) is our host, and Fox 6 Sports Director Rick Karle is our entertainment for the evening!

Local celebrity judges will be tasting our student competitors’ appetizers and awarding prizes for the best, and we’ll have a band and dancing!

What’s Included?

Tailgate themed reception from 5 pm to 7 pm: Sample and judge the student-made appetizers, dance to a live band, eat tailgate-style food grilled by Keith Richards (owner of Taziki’s Mediterranean Café), view cars from the Alabama Auto Show and tour a huge RV.

Dinner provided by Taziki’s Mediterranean Café from 7 pm to 9 pm.  Host Rick Journey and speaker Rick Karle will be our entertainment for the evening.

Where?

The fun is happening at Jefferson State Community College – Valleydale Road/Shelby Campus.  The Culinary & Hospitality Institute is located across Jaguar Drive from Hoover’s Veterans Park.
