The Side Hustle Sessions: Pilot Project

Over the next year The Edge of Chaos is planning on bringing a series of Sessions featuring guest speakers describing their Side Hustle and how it overlaps with their real lives.  In some cases the Side Hustle may become their real life. We are doing a Pilot Project on next Thursday March, 8^th 3:00pm at The Edge of Chaos to test the interest in the potential for such a Series.

Side Hustle:  Sundance Film Festival

A bit about Gareth:

Before joining UAB as the Assistant Director of the Office of Service Learning and Undergraduate Research, Gareth Jones was a Film Studies Professor for ten years in Georgia.  For the past twenty years, Gareth’s side hustle has been to work for the Sundance Film Festival flying back each year to help with logistics.  This past fall, he shared his knowledge with Freshman in the Honors College by teaching a Film Fest 101 Seminar course, and is happy to present to the rest of campus a primer on working for the Sundance Film Festival, and giving advice on finding your side hustle in the film festival world.
