The Negro Southern League Museum will host Jackie Robinson Day at NSLM. This free, family-friendly event commemorates and honors the day Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball. The purpose of this event is to celebrate Robinson’s accomplishment will educating and sharing Birmingham’s rich baseball history. The event will feature exhibits from Rickwood Field, Sloss Furnace, and Coca-Cola Bottling Company United. Plus the Negro Southern League Museum will unveil a special commemorative honoring Jackie Robinson. Food will be available for purchase by Dreamcakes, Steel City Pops, and Chef Clayton Food Systems. Plus guests will be able to take a tour of the Parkside District with Pedal Tours Birmingham. Add a little music and you have a fantastic event full of history, fun, and baseball!
