The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport presents its two-day State of the Airport and Industry Day Symposium on Wednesday, May 23 at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel and Thursday, May 24 at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport. Headlining the keynote address will be Former UN Ambassador and Civil Rights Pioneer Ambassador Andrew Young on Wednesday, at the luncheon.

The Symposium kick offs with a State of the Airport report from Interim President and CEO, Miguel Southwell. The mission of the two-day aviation conference is to provide an insider’s look at the airport’s impact on the community, showcase new projects and plans and provide an opportunity for small and diverse businesses to partner with the airport. The jam-packed event will include two-days of powerful industry workshops, two keynote luncheons with renowned leaders designed to strengthen the collaborative opportunities between the Airport, community and its local and regional partners.
