Free summer feeding program (free breakfast and lunch served) for children 18 and below
The Birmingham Chapter of the National Hook Up of Black Women are proud to be a partner with the USDA Summer Feeding Program! Children need good nutrition all year long. When school is out during the summer on the, many children no longer have access to even one nutritious meal each day. Summer Meal Programs help fill the gap. Research shows a lack of nutrition during the summer months may set up a cycle for poor performance once school begins. We must do all we can to ensure that children get nutritious food during the summer months so that they are ready to learn during the school year.
Monday- Friday
Times: Breakfast 8:00am-9:30am
Lunch: 11:30-1pm
