Taylor Hollingsworth
Folk Art Blues Rock from Birmingham, AL

Straight out of the cassette player in a beat up 78 VW camper, the poorest kid in the richest zip code in Alabama, bottom ten of his high school class, with three broken guitars, and a four track recorder, Taylor Hollingsworth writes, plays, and records Folk Art Punk Blues Songs. He has released four solo full length albums, one hand made cassette, and one ep. His first tour was selling merch for Mississippi blues artist Paul “Wine” Jones. He also records and plays with Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, Sweet Dog Experience, Monsieur Jeffrey Evans and his Southern Ace’s, and numerous other projects. There’s a picture of him on the guitar center in Jackson Mississippi.

Taylor Hollingsworth is a singer/songwriter and guitarist from Birmingham, Alabama. He first picked up the guitar at age 14 and has gone on to front his own bands as well as play guitar for others, notably Maria Taylor. He is married to Maria’s sister, singer-songwriter Kate Taylor. They had their first child together, a daughter, in 2012.

Hollingsworth plays guitar with Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst on his latest project, Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band. During the Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band tour Taylor played some of his own music including the song called Central City from the album, Bad Little Kitty. He also records and plays with the Sweet Dog Experience, Monsieur Jeffrey Evans and His Southern Aces, Maria Taylor, Kate Taylor and Nik Freitas.

Heath Green & The Makeshifters
Rock N Roll from Birmingham AL

As a longtime fixture on the Birmingham music scene through groups like Mudpie and Fishergreen, Heath Green has carved out a reputation as one of the finest songwriters and performers around, combining gritty storytelling born out of the dirt and red clay of his home state with an electric delivery that’s on par with the best soul men of the modern era. And nowhere is that more clear than in this riveting new band The Makeshifters. Featuring the blistering fretwork of Jody Nelson from local indie rock savants Through the Sparks, along with longtime collaborators Jason Lucia and Keelan Parrish holding down the rhythm section. Its a wild mash-up of low slung blues/funk, Black Sabbath guitar licks, and scorched earth howls. One of the best kept secrets on the Magic City music scene; Heath Green & The Makeshifters is Kind of like lightning in a bottle, but with more fire.
