American Animal is a band with no gimmicks or trendy tricks. The group can best be described as a rock band holding to strong melodic and lyrical content. With influence from Meat Puppets, Neil Young, and Television, to Elliot Smith, David Bowie, and The Band, the group refuses categorization and at points ventures into visceral indie rock territory. American Animal’s debut studio album the To Us EP was released in Summer 2014. The songs on the album span the unique types of material the band creates. From heavier indie rock, to more intimate singer-songwriter folk pop, the debut album showcases the bands original sound.
