Each September, Global Mala brings the Birmingham yoga community together where local teachers lead hundreds of participants through 108 sun salutations to raise funds for and awareness of local social issues. This event takes place in conjunction with the International Day of Peace. This year, Global Mala will take place on Saturday, September 22 from 8am-12pm with the Salutations beginning around 9am and will kick off with a party at Trim Tab Brewery on Wednesday, September 19, from 6-10 pm.
