Sweet Treats for our Troops! Halloween Candy GIVE-Back Program Underway at Dr. Dudney’s Office. Help Dr. Dudney collect Halloween candy to send to our deployed U.S. Service Members and First Responders through Operation Gratitude.
All types of candy are accepted including chocolate. Writing letters and drawings to the troops are also encouraged. Collections will be accepted at Dr. Dudney’s dental office. All participants donating candy will receive a goody bag from Dr. Dudney. In addition to sending sweet treats from home Dr. Dudney will also send toothbrushes and toothpaste to the US Troops.
The troops love the candy–for themselves, but also to give out to the children in the communities they patrol. Many Service Members have said that the children gave them information on where bombs and bad guys were hidden after receiving the candy and stuffed animals. They said: “You are not just putting smiles on our faces; you are saving our lives.”
Dr. Dudney is proud to participate yearly in the Operation Gratitude Halloween GIVE-Back Program and says “The candy is a great morale boost for the troops, and provides every American child the opportunity to say thank you to all who serve and learn about service, sacrifice and generosity.” Operation Gratitude has shipped more than 1.9 Million Care Packages over the years and that includes items such as DVDs, handmade scarves and hygiene products. Halloween candy is a wonderful addition to these packages.
