Touch A Truck allows children the opportunity to explore emergency vehicles, construction equipment and a variety of other trucks.
The Autism Society is happy to be partnering with the Exceptional Foundation for the second year. We have been planning this event for quite some time, and are truly looking forward to the opportunity to engage with local families and bring them such an exciting event,” said ASA fundraising and events manager Lauren Reid.
Children are often frightened by emergency vehicles so the event will serve as a way to let children learn about them in a comfortable setting to avoid anxiety in future emergency situations. The event is created to benefit families with children affected by autism spectrum disorder through providing them with a stimulating sensory experience but is open to all families.
Our goal for the event is really just to provide all families with a fun and educational afternoon, and to let the kids get up close and personal with the vehicles they have always wanted to explore.
