NOW OFFERING GUIDED HIKES–EVERY SATURDAY BEGINNING JAN. 23RD

What: See how Birmingham became “The Magic City”! You will meet your guide at the Trailhead and take an engaging walk along the ruins of old mine structures and railroad beds, learning how Red Mountain iron ore once fed the nation’s thirst for steel.

Whether you are a history buff, urban explorer or wanting to know more about Red Mountain Park, this is a 90 minute, easy-moderate walk into Birmingham’s past that is not to be missed!

When: Every Saturday from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM (beginning Saturday, January 23rd at 11:00 AM).

Where: Hikers should meet at the RMP Trailhead prior to 11:00 AM.

Cost: $5.00 per person
