Opening event for the 48th Religious Arts Festival at Independent Presbyterian Church: Jazz Brunch followed by Art Lecture
Enjoy a Jazz Brunch at Oscar’s in the Birmingham Museum of Art. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Oscar’s at (205) 328-7850. Lecture will follow at 1:30 p.m.
Following the Jazz Brunch, BMA Curator Katelyn Crawford will give a lecture/tour on “Jazz in American Art.” Dr. Katelyn Crawford is The William Cary Hulsey Curator of American Art and oversees all aspects of the Museum’s collection of American art including paintings, sculpture, works on paper, and photography from the colonial period to 1970.
