11th Annual Backyard Division Cook-off competition and festival featuring live music, face painting, moon bounce, kids workshop, and great food. #GRILLTOBUILD

There are good causes and there are fall-off-the-bone causes.

Teams cook their best brisket, chicken, ribs, pork butts, and sauce. . . . . and serve it to event attendees. The best pork butts are selected by People’s Choice. Judges select top winners in all other categories.

No entry fee to participate. Supplies and partial meat packages will be provided to each team.

Backyard Division (sauce, chicken, ribs, brisket)
People’s Choice (best pork butt)

Awards:

Grand Champion (overall winner) $500 plus trophy
Backyard Division 1st Place $300 plus trophy
Backyard Division 2nd Place Trophy
Backyard Division 3rd Place Certificate
People’s Choice winner Trophy

3:00 PM Spaces Open For Teams To Begin Setting Up
6:30 PM Mandatory Cooks Meeting

Saturday, April 6
10:30 AM Judges report to Judge Station
11:00 AM Gates Open to Public and People’s Choice Voting Begins

11:00 AM Sauce Entry Turn-in
11:30 AM Chicken Turn-in
12:00 PM            Ribs Turn-in
12:30 PM            Brisket Entry Turn-in
2:00 PM              People’s Choice Voting Closes

2:30 PM              Winners Announced / Award Presentations

This is not an Alabama BBQ Association sanctioned event, however we do our best to adhere to their backyard competition rules and regulations.
