Dog-friendly 5K and 1-mile Fun Run benefiting Bama Bully Rescue

Our second annual Running for the Bulls 5K and 1-mile Fun Run are coming up on Saturday, October 10th at 9:00 am at Red Mountain Park in Birmingham, AL. Participants are welcome to run/walk with or without a dog.
This is a family and fur friendly event to raise money for Bama Bully Rescue. Since 2008, we have been pulling bully breed dogs from Alabama shelters and placing them in loving foster homes. Once these pups learn the ropes on how to belong in a family, they are ready to go to their forever homes. All the veterinary care and training needed to equip our bullies for life after being a shelter dog is super expensive! Your participation will allow us to continue our mission to rescue bully breeds from shelters, promote spay/neuter, and educate the public about the true nature of bully breed dogs. Our goal is to decrease the number of bullies that would, without our support, be relinquished by their owners.
Registration begins at 7:30 am, and the races begin at 9:00 am, through the beautiful trails of Red Mountain Park.
Registration fees:
$35 – 5K – online registration
(increases to $40 day of race)
$FREE – 1-Mile Fun Run / Walk
$25 – Sleep-In (Yawn – Mail me a t-shirt)
$20 – Event T-shirt
$10 – My dog wants to run, too! (Includes a bandanna)
