The Brotherhood and Sisterhood Awards Dinner is known as Birmingham’s most prestigious recognition for leaders with a proven track record of encouraging a stronger, more inclusive community for Birmingham’s diverse population.

Proceeds from this Dinner provide a direct benefit to Anytown Alabama, a program that ensures that Birmingham’s children – from all walks of life – learn how to be intentional about building an equitable and fair community. Anytown Alabama began in 1989 and has graduated more than 2,000 students ready to impact their community. You can learn more about Anytown Alabama at www.ywcabham.org/anytownalabama. Although fully funded through NCCJ since its inception, the YWCA of Central Alabama has partnered with NCCJ to manage Anytown Alabama since 2011.

The National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) was founded in 1927 and has been promoting tolerance and mutual understanding in Alabama since 1932. NCCJ of Alabama is dedicated to fighting bias, bigotry, and racism through advocacy, conflict resolution, and education. Led by an all-volunteer board since 2010, NCCJ supports Anytown Alabama, whose mission is to promote understanding and respect among all races, religions, and cultures.

Individual tickets to the dinner are $150.00 and donor tables’ range from $1,500 to $5,000.
