A Conversation on Art and Theology with Dan Siedell

The Museum is pleased to present a panel discussion, A Conversation on Art & Theology with Dan Siedell, in partnership with the Cathedral Church of the Advent’s ongoing Arts + Culture Series: http://adventbirmingham.org/arts-culture-series/.

Dan Siedell is the author of God in the Gallery: A Christian Embrace of Modern Art (2008) and more recently wrote Who’s Afraid of Modern Art?: Essays on Modern Art and Theology in Conversation (2015). He is Presidential Scholar in Art Historian in Residence at The King’s College in New York City and Associate Professor of Christianity & Culture at Knox Theological Seminary, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dan also worked closely with artist Enrique Martinez Celaya, whose art will be exhibited at the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Art (AEIVA) at UAB in 2016. Siedell will lead a tour of this exhibition at AEIVA on Thursday, March 3.
