Monthly Nature Program: Ruffner Mountain’s Jamie Nobles

Join us for our March Monthly Nature Program with special guest Jamie Nobles, Conservation Director for Ruffner Mountain. Jamie oversees all land management and conservation efforts within the Forever Wild Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve. He received his bachelor’s degree of zoology from Auburn University. His past professional experience includes working closely with several different native animal and plant species.

Jamie will present on his current work at Ruffner Mountain, including land and habitat restoration, growing and planting native plants, invasive plant control, American Chestnut on the mountain, bat conservation efforts, and other projects. He enjoys being outdoors, hiking, paddling, gardening, and birding.

The details: Reception starts at 6:30 p.m., talk runs from 7–8:30 p.m., in the East Room on the second floor at Birmingham Botanical Gardens (2612 Lane Park Road).
