A popular juried art show set in beautiful shady Gamble Park.
Art in the Park is a juried show with over 75 artists from around the southeast – primarily Alabama. Hand-crafted art includes painting, drawing, wood carving, stained glass, sculpture, pottery, fabric arts, jewelry, and much more. This years featured artist is Maurice Cook, an Alabama native who is famous for his nostalgic folk paintings of country life. Throughout the day, enjoy children’s activities, dance troupes, live music and other performing arts! Awards are by category, plus Best in Show and People’s Choice. Come and enjoy the beautiful, shady grounds and gently flowing creek of Gamble Park, adjacent to the Jasper campus of Bevill State Community College, while browsing the best local arts and crafts. This spacious park features a paved walking trail, playground and picnic areas, and is convenient to many dining and hotel facilities.
