Gosse Nature Walk #22: P. H. Gosse Birthday Stroll at Vulcan Park

Presented by Birmingham Audubon at Vulcan Park and Museum

Philip Henry Gosse—the English naturalist and GNW namesake who described Alabama’s Black Belt ecology in the 1830s—would have turned 209 years old this Saturday, April 6th. We’ll celebrate his legacy as we host the twenty-second installation of our Gosse Nature Walk Series at Vulcan Park, with special guest Carolyn Buck, Freshwater Land Trust’s Red Rock Trail System Director.

The Kiwanis Vulcan trail is a 2-mile jogging and biking trail extending to Green Springs Highway and serving as the future hub for Birmingham’s planned 750-mile Red Rock Trail System.
