Girls on the Run is a girls empowerment nonprofit. We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. We host a 5K race each spring that is the opportunity for our girls to participate in a 5K race they train for all semester; it is also our organization’s biggest fundraiser. The 2016 Girls on the Run 5K will be held on Saturday May 7 at 9:00 am at Marconi Park.  The downtown course is certified, flat, and fast to set your best record.  The 3.1 mile loop will include many cheer stations to keep you going and make the race fun!
