Saturdays in The Gardens are a series of programs designed to help both novice and seasoned gardeners alike hone their skills in a hands-on setting, focusing on basic gardening skills and trends. Programs will be held monthly with an in-classroom lesson then participants will complete a related service project in The gardens. Programs will be presented by the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens and led by local experts.

Volunteers from the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens’ Herb Plant Group will cover how to select the right herb plants and what they need to thrive in your garden. Participants will work with the experts to prepare and plant the Herb Terrace for the spring season.
