Chris Davis

Chris Davis, is a comedian, visual artist and native of Birmingham Alabama. He performs improv comedy with ETC (Extemporaneous Theatre Company) and Ugly Baby Improv. He’s the host of the monthly stand-up show, Fresh Ground Comics, and has been very fortunate to open for comedians such as Janeane Garofalo, Al Madrigal, Michael Ian Black, Brian Posehn and Hannibal Buress. Chris can be found hosting comedy shows, charity events, awards ceremonies, and starring in the occasional t.v. commercial.

Paige McBride

Paige McBride is a writer, stand up comedian, and co-host of the podcast Beers and Broads. She is currently living in Birmingham, AL and has performed in shows around the Southeast sharing stories about her greatest fears intertwined with thoughts from the shower. She has opened for Adam Cayton-Holland, Sam Tallent, and Mo Alexander. You can catch her every Monday night at Marty’s PM hosting the Goulash open mic.

The show follows the evolution of world-traveled, veteran performer Matt Davis’ ideas as they have developed while performing and traveling through over 250 cities across more than 40 countries.

Stitching together a personal narrative where he is often playing the fool, he jokes about even the largely accepted norms of language, nationality, and global or regional customs. A persistent foil to his own ideas, he offers up a studied cross-examination of his experiences as he hilariously tackles the underlying goal of this show: to dismiss the equation “familiar equals good.”
