Band event at WorkPlay to raise money for two BPD Injured Officers injured in the line of duty
Please join us for a community fundraiser at WorkPlay for two of BPD’s own: Officer Tekulve Bowden and Officer Lucas Allums. Birmingham Police Officer Tekulve Bowde was severely injured when struck by a car while assisting drivers who had wrecked on I-59 in November 2018. He has undergone 13 surgeries and is in need of an ADA accessible vehicle now. North Precinct Officer Lucas Allums, 27, was shot and wounded Sunday, Jan. 13 in a shooting that left another BPD officer, Sgt. Wytasha Carter, dead. He is recovering from his injuries. Money raised will go towards medical bills for Officers Tekulve and Allums as well as an ADA accessible vehicle for Officer Tekulve. Come on out Birmingham, let’s support our BPD officers who put their lives on the line every day to serve and protect! Event sponsored by Heninger Garrison Davis law firm on Friday, May 10 at WorkPlay. Live performance by Legal Limit band. Tickets $15 in advance; $18 at door. Doors open at 6:30 pm
Tickets available at WorkPlay box office.
