International wheelchair rugby is coming to Birmingham in May. Four of the top five wheelchair rugby teams in the world will battle at Lakeshore Foundation in Homewood May 22 – 25. Australia, Great Britain, Japan and the United States will play several games during the four-day event. We are just one year out from the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and this will be your only chance to see the U.S. team compete on its home soil before the Games.

Lakeshore is the home of the USA Wheelchair Rugby team where they train year-round. Lakeshore has been a U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Site since 2003 and several other teams and athletes train and compete at the facility. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
