Exploring Natural Alabama: The Urban Turtle Project

Exploring Natural Alabama: The Urban Turtle Project

Presented by Birmingham Audubon at Alabama Wildlife Center

The Urban Turtle Project with guest speaker Dr. Andy Coleman.

The Urban Turtle Project is the brainchild of Andy Coleman, the former Program & Science Director at Birmingham Audubon. Turtles are the subject of Andy’s professional research interests, and this project allows community scientists to join in his efforts to survey, document, and conserve the turtle populations in the waterways of the Birmingham metropolitan area. In this program Andy will introduce you to the turtles found in our area waterways, where the project stands now, and how you can help. Join us for this last seminar before our summer break!
