DELTA Incorporated and Birmingham Alumnae Chapter – Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. partner to host gala to raise funds for scholarships and community service projects

 BIRMINGHAM, AL.—DELTA Incorporated (DELTA Inc.) is partnering with the Birmingham Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to host its 7th biennial Red Carpet Gala on Saturday, June 1, 2019.

The Red Carpet Gala “Glitz & Glamour” All White Cocktail Affair raises money to award scholarships for high school seniors seeking higher education; to provide tutoring, reading, mentoring, counseling, and art programs for youth; and outreach programs and activities for senior citizens.

The gala is open to the public and will be held from 4-8 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham–The Wynfrey Hotel. It will feature a live band, delicious food, and networking opportunities. Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased online via Eventbrite or at www.paypal.me/deltaincbham.

For those seeking to support the fundraising event as a sponsor, the following levels are available: Diamond, $5,000; Platinum, $2,500; Gold, $1,000; Silver, $500; Bronze, $250; and Patron, $50. A table of 10 can be reserved at the event for $750.

Over the past five years, DELTA Inc. and the Birmingham Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. have provided more than $50,000 in scholarships to local high school students. DELTA Inc. annually partners with Alzheimer’s of Central Alabama for the “Walking to Remember” event, which raises awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Additionally, the nonprofit also sponsors “Christmas on Meadow Lane” annually to promote family literacy in the community and supports programs in Birmingham City Schools that encourage reduced school truancy, increased academic performance, reduction in juvenile crime, and increased graduation rates among economically disadvantaged youth.
