Your family is invited to a campout on our front lawn to learn, play and make memories to last a lifetime!

One night a year, we convert a special section of Railroad Park into an interactive campground for families. A host of experts will give lessons on everything from fire safety to creek ecology to first aid‐and an animal show ‘n tell from the Birmingham Zoo will delight campers of all ages. (Check the full schedule below for details on the lessons and the pros who’ll be giving them.)

Along with our lessons, campers will enjoy activities such as arts and crafts sponsored by Cadence Bank, a scavenger hunt sponsored by Alabama Outdoors, giant lawn games, camp games, and more.

To create a true family campground atmosphere, this particular event is open only to families with children^*.

Bring your tent and your family, and we’ll take care of the rest. Publix Super Markets, Inc. is catering healthy snacks, delectable dinner options, and a nourishing breakfast, not to mention a tasty build‐your‐own trail mix bar sponsored by local babysitting app, Wyndy.
