Urban Impact, Inc. (UII) the community economic development agency that serves Historic 4th Avenue Business District and Birmingham Civil Rights District is reviving a long-standing tradition, Music in the Park. This is made possible by the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, BBVA Compass, and a collaboration with the City of Birmingham Board of Parks and Recreation. UII is spearheading a series of events, campaigns, and initiatives (creative placemaking techniques) to bring vibrancy to the district.

Now branded as Pop-up in the Park, this event series designed to bring foot traffic to Historic 4th Avenue Business Corridor and surrounding area and incubate new businesses into #4thAve. The event will partner with local businesses, food trucks, nonprofits, pop-up artists and retailers to create a unique experience on 4th Avenue.

Take a lunch break, grab some Green Acres or Nelson’s, and enjoy the district!
