A seasonally focused floristry demonstration, workshop, and discussion series led by the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Holly Carlisle of Rosegolden, in the spirit of local floristry legend Beth McReynolds and her iconic “Birmingham Style.” The classes will focus first how to approach designing with a seasonally specific concept. Holly will demonstrate, then, participants will get to create their own arrangements with Holly’s guidance. All materials will be provided.

Summer: Juxtaposition Utilize juxtaposition as a design tool and way to elevate the common alongside the cultivated as identified during a walk through the Dunn Formal Rose Garden followed by the native Pollinator Display Area. This thoughtful arrangement will be made using a taped-off glass vessel.
