Third Friday in Forest Park and Tour de Loo

Third Friday in Forest Park and Tour de Loo

Presented by Forest Park and South Avondale Merchant Association at Forest Park and South Avondale

Shop local and enjoy your neighborhood restaurants and shops in Forest Park!

During the Third Friday events, the Forest Park merchants’ loos are transformed into art installations by local artists.
Our February jugde, John Fields, Curator at UAB’s Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts, AEIVA and Adjunct Professor of Art at University of Alabama at Birmingham will award the best installation artist with a $200 prize, compliments of Marco Morosini, owner of neighborhood restaurant Silvertron Café!

Restaurants will have specials, shops and galleries will be open late (5:00 – 8:00 pm), catch the shows you may miss during the day, shop for gifts while enjoying a refreshment. Enjoy the social scene of Forest Park after hours.

Please send artists submissions for future Tour de Loos in an email to mail@nakedartusa.com stating what your installation will be and send low-res images of your artwork.
