Summer Audubon Talk: Celebrity birder Jason Ward

Summer Audubon Talk: Celebrity birder Jason Ward

Presented by Birmingham Audubon at Cahaba Brewing

Details and registration on our website: birminghamaudubon.org/event/2019-08-30

Join us for our first seasonal Audubon Talk with special guest Jason Ward, our Fund II Apprentice,* as he presents, “From The Bronx to Birding.”

Jason Ward, host of Birds of North America, Atlanta Audubon Society field trip leader, and writer for National Audubon Society, reflects on his unorthodox path to birding, why birds mean so much to him, and looks towards a bright, colorful future in birding. An experienced birder, self-proclaimed science nerd, and social activist, his writing for Audubon has explored topics as diverse as bird-identification tips, Chimney Swift conservation, and the role of race in the conservation movement.
