The 2nd Annual Walk for a Cure to benefit Optimist International’s Childhood Cancer Campaign & the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders, will take place at Railroad Park on Saturday, August 3, 2019, 8-10 a.m.
The Zone 1 Optimist Clubs in the greater Birmingham area of Optimist International’s Alabama-Mississippi District are sponsoring the 2nd Annual Walk for a Cure at Railroad Park to benefit Optimist International’s Childhood Cancer Campaign & the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s of Alabama.
The event will also feature live musical entertainment performed by Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen Zoe’ Champion, Miss Alabama 2013 Chandler Champion, and recording artist Jessica Lloyd. Light refreshments and plenty of water will be provided for participants.
Registration fee is $15/individual walker or $25/family. To register, please download, complete and send the 2nd Annual Walk for a Cure form, along with your check, made payable to Birmingham Optimist Youth Foundation (BOYF), to the address listed on the form. Registration is also available beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the event.
