"Selma: The Bridge to the Ballot" Screening and Panel Discussion

Presented by REV Birmingham at Ensley Cinema House

Please join us for a screening of the documentary “Selma: The Bridge to the Ballot.” This is the true story of the forgotten heroes in the fight for voting rights—the courageous students and teachers of Selma, Alabama, who stood up against injustice despite facing intimidation, arrests and violence.

Following the screening there will be a panel discussion about why voting rights matter.

Why is there a disconnect between candidates and the communities they represent?

How does voting affect the individual?

How does not voting hurt you and your community?

Do All Votes Matter?

Doors open at 6pm. Please consider making a donation to the Ensley Cinema House so that we can continue these events.
