Local artists and musicians will gather at Homewood Central Park for the 26th annual free fall event and everyone is invited.
If you love art & music and like to spend time in a beautiful relaxing park on a Sunday, this event was made for you! Handmade Art Show is an eclectic group of about 60 talented local artists that gather to display and sell their handmade wares. Some of the art featured will include wood & metal works, pottery, leather goods, macrame’, photography, mixed media, paintings, jewelry, organic herbal bitters & syrups and much more. As you stroll through the park and check out the art you can listen to the Pickin’ in the Park musicians. Pickin’ in the Park is a fun, interactive jam session with local musicians. They encourage everyone to bring their guitars, ukuleles, banjos, bass, and violins to play with other musician in the park on Sunday. Both groups are sponsored by the Homewood Arts Council and the City of Homewood.
There will be a chance for patrons of the show to win pieces of the handmade art by visiting the Homewood Arts Council tent and buying a raffle ticket. The proceeds from the raffle will benefit The Well House organization who rescue and provide opportunities to female victims of human trafficking who have been sexually exploited.
The event is family and dog friendly with plenty of space for kids to play at the park. There is ample parking in the lot adjacent to the park off Oxmoor Road.
