TOMBOi is kicking off 2016 with a southeast tour in promotion of their new self-titled EP. The first of multiple releases scheduled for this year, the EP contains their previous single, Lobos, along with four other tracks including a cover of Ghost Town DJ’s My Boo featuring New Orleans based sex-positive rapper Boyfriend. With the guitar-driven intro of songs like Runaround and Lobos, followed by the uplifting nature of Surrender and the calculated cool of Fever, the EP mellows into an atmospheric blend of synths and indie rock. Boyfriend’s added feature intermingled with TOMBOI’s inventive take on the ‘90’s favorite My Boo finishes the EP on a wave of synth-pop and nostalgia.
