Enriched with spirited humor while still provoking a sense of deep seriousness, The Enigma Variations feature musical sketches of Elgar’s close friends. In addition, the ASO is excited to welcome clarinetist Anthony McGill back to the Magic City. Anthony is the first African American Principal musician in the New York Philharmonic and will be our guest soloist for Richard Danielpour’s, “From the Mountaintop.”
