From conducting the Award-winning Broadway musical FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE on Broadway, to arranging and recently recording with TONY award winner, Billy Porter, to working with the incomparable Chaka Khan, audiences and critics world-wide have applauded the work of music-man – Abdul Hamid Royal.
Mr. Royal was recently awarded the coveted OVATION AWARD and LOS ANGELES DRAMA CRITICS CIRCLE AWARD for Best Music Direction for his work on the Los Angeles production of THE GOSPEL AT COLONUS. He was previously awarded the NAACP IMAGE AWARD for his work on Broadways – FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE and more recently awarded the NAACP Theater Award for Best Musical Direction for his work on THE GOSPEL AT COLONUS.
