The WBHM Junior Board is pleased to announce the return of its annual live variety show, This Alabama Life, which will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Iron City at 7:30 p.m.
This Alabama Life will be an exciting evening of live performances, interviews, an interactive quiz show, and more—all with public radio flair. Entertainment will include renowned jazz flautist Kim Scott, folk musician Meredith Johnson, spoken word by poet Jerry Hardesty, an interview with Sidewalk Film and an original work by a regional choreographer Alden Phillips. The show will also feature an interview with world-renowned physician and researcher Dr. Jerzy Szaflarski, a pioneer in the use of CBD oil treatment for epilepsy at UAB. Plus, returning to the stage is a crowd favorite—the live quiz show, “Wait, Wait, I’m a Public Radio Nerd!”
